Death

Death is something we all have in common in many different ways.

Have you ever lost a loved one? I know I have and it was very challenging on many different levels.  Death is part of the cycle of life and one day we will have to go through it ourselves, we don’t know when or how but all we know is that it will happen.  I understand that it’s not something easy to get through especially if someone very close to you has passed on but we need to remember one thing, the importance of life. 

I know Christmas is just around the corner and it’s at times like this that make it very difficult for a lot of people, but it’s also a time where we should remember all the good times we had with that special person, all the laughs, disagreements, secrets, plans and so much more. Sometimes the death of a loved one can be a lesson for us, to learn to appreciate life and what we have, whether good or bad. Death can come at any time and because of this it’s important to stay positive and even though it may be a difficult time it’s also a time of reflection, to appreciate what’s truly important.

Becoming Your Own Best friend

Have you ever felt sad? Lonely?  Numb? 

Over the years I have had to learn to become my own best friend. There were many nights I would spend crying myself to sleep, sad and lonely with every given heartache. Over time I realized that I had to become my own best friend, I had to learn to comfort myself to over come the pain. It’s a process and I am still learning how to do it, but I have gotten so much better. I can honestly say that I am my own best friend. We need to love ourselves the same way you would love your own best friend, we deserve as much love and care as we give. Self love is very important, without it we can’t grow as people and we will never be able to let go of all the negativity that ways us down. There is nothing wrong with comforting ourselves which will actually bring out the best in you.

A Farmers Donkey- A Fable with Moral

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out a way to get him out.

Finally the farmer decided it was probably impossible and the animal was old and the well was dry anyway, so it just wasn’t worth it to try and retrieve the donkey.

So the farmer asked his neighbors to come over and help him cover up the well. They all grabbed shovels and began to shovel dirt into the well.


At first, when the donkey realized what was happening he cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement, he quieted down and let out some happy brays.


A few shovel loads later, the farmer looked down the well to see what was happening and was astonished at what he saw. 
With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was shaking it off and taking a step up.

As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he continued to shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, to everyone’s amazement, the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off!

  1.  Moral: Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up.
  2.  Moral : Every adversity can be turned into a stepping stone. The way to get out of the deepest well is by never giving up but by shaking yourself off and taking a step up.
  3.  Moral : In life, what happens to you isn’t nearly as important as what you do about it or how you react to the happening.

You're Important

It doesn't matter who you are, what you look like or what you do, there will always be someone who doesn't like you. As hard as that is to accept, it’s ok!!! That’s sadly just life, as you might not like other people they might not like you. One shouldn't waste their time on trying to be accepted by those who dislike them but more so appreciate all the people that accept and love you! You are who you are and that is amazing in itself! 

You should never try and conform yourself to what other people want. It’s time to let go and focus on the important people in your life, those who love and care for you

Faith Blog #2 - It's ok to ask for help



It’s ok to ask for help. People feel that when one asks for help it’s a big deal, like if you ask for any support you are considered a failure but that’s not the case at all. It’s ok to ask for help, it’s a part of life and our needs as human beings, its normal for one to care for themselves and try to find comfort in others. So if given the opportunity and if you really feel you need to then ask! 

Your feelings are important and so is having a positive state of mind, so there should be no reason not to ask and get support. 

Allow yourself to be helped.

Faith - Blog 1


I can’t begin to tell you how strong my faith is and I understand that not everyone believes in a higher power but what I know that one way or another everyone believes in something. Today I had the worst day ever I found out that certain things were being said about me behind my back, which I already knew but this time around I was super hurt by what was said. I never let it bother me because I know that I am not the issue here. There should never be a reason why one should say things about other people that will truly hurt them. I couldn't help but ask “Why” why does this person want to hurt me so much, why so much hate? What satisfaction does she get and why me? As I sat at home crying and wondering I decided to go on my lap top to get a few things done and the first thing I see when I turn on my lap top was this…..

You don’t have to swallow your tears. You don’t have to hide how you feel or ignore your pain. You have to give yourself a hug, look yourself in the eyes, and say, “I’m sad and I’m angry and I’m hurting. And you know what? That’s okay. My feelings are valid. I’m not broken or crazy. I’m wounded. But I can heal. And I’m going to be okay. Maybe not today or tomorrow or a week from now, but sometime soon, this is going to pass. And until it does, I’m going to keep taking care of myself. I’m going to talk back to the negative voice making me feel small and speak to myself with kindness. I’m going to let myself feel my feelings and do self-care. And I’m going to treat myself like a friend. Because if there’s anyone who deserves my love and affection, it’s me.


I know that, that message was sent to me by the universe (a higher power) my heart tells me so! We must never lose faith in what we believe in and we must never give up. We need to keep in mind that no one should ever be given the power to make us feel something other than amazing. We control how others make us feel, we control our thoughts and feelings. You just need to have faith to know that everything will be ok.

Throat Chakra

As we move through the Chakra system, we meet the 5th chakra, the throat chakra. This chakra is seated in our throat, and its a little different from the other chakras.  In the case of the throat chakra, it is projected from out of our mouths as we speak, from each of our ears, and from the base of our skull, where the spine meets the skull.    If you’ve ever had the experience of getting choked up, where you feel like there’s a frog in your throat, or something blocking your speech, this is very clear indication of a throat chakra blockage and an identifiable location of the center of this chakra.   The throat chakra resonates with a deep blue, the color of the deep sea, through which sound messages can travel through many thousands of miles.

Physiologically, it controls all things ear, nose, and throat - your entire sinus system. It extends up through the throat, through the lower part of our jaw, our mouth, our nose, and the entire area from the clavicle up to right below the eyes.

Psychically, the throat chakra is in charge of clairaudient abilities, or the ability to hear intuitive information.

Emotionally, and mentally, the throat chakra controls our confidence to speak our truth - to stand up for ourselves, to say what’s on our minds, and to live openly in who we are as individuals.

Greed, Money & Morals

Yesterday I didn't have a very good night, I found out that the president of Mexico (Enrique Pena Nieto) sold Pemex to the United States of America. Pemex was the Mexican state owned petroleum company and the main means of income for Mexico. Most people would think “oh what ever this happens every day” but the sad part is exactly that, this is happening way too often.  My heart breaks for the people of Mexico because they have been left with NOTHING and all because the president is extremely greedy and does not care what it takes to make and have more money, even if it costs the life don’t of his people.


The point of my blog is not to bash the president of Mexico which he deserves that and more but the message I am trying to get across is that lately I feel people just don’t care. Every day I stand back and observe my surroundings, my main focus is other people, the way they act towards everyday situations and towards each other and its quite sad to say but the outcome is terrible. Everyone is always talking bad about another person without even realizing it, it’s like it’s become the norm. People’s main focus is also money and it doesn't matter what they have to do to make it or get it, they will do whatever it takes. What happened to our morals? To being a good person? If everyone would help each other out instead of trying to put down other people or more so compete to see whose better we wouldn’t have all these horrible situations around the world that we have now. Everyone needs to focus on what’s important which is being a good person, treating others the way we want to be treated. How can we expect good to come out of this world if all we put out there is negative energy? It’s time to be positive learn that there is no amount of money in the world that can bring true happiness because happiness lies within and is only obtained by having true love! Love for oneself, Love for others, Love for the world and all the blessings we have been given by the Universe.

Root Chakra




There are 7 chakras, well technically there are more but there are 7 main ones that people tend to focus on. Now I know you all must be thinking now what are all these other chakras? Don’t worry about it; I will touch upon all that in another blog. Today I would like to focus on 1 chakra, and every month I am going to focus on different ones.  

The root chakra is very important because it’s what keeps us grounded. It deals with physical identity, survival, stability, instinctual nature, ambition, and self-sufficiency, when this chakra isn’t balanced a lot of issues can arise.  

Governs: bones, teeth, nails, anus, prostate, adrenals, kidneys, lower digestive functions, excretory functions, and sexual activity

Physical Dysfunctions: tiredness, poor sleep, lower back pain, sciatica, waste elimination problems like constipation, depression, immune related disorders, obesity and eating disorders 

Psychological and Emotional Issues: ungrounded, afraid, rage and anger, self esteem, survival, security, obsessed with comfort, alienated, possessive

Balanced Chakra: feeling grounded, centered, committed and independent, having energy and vitality, strength and stillness, able to digest foods well

 I recently got married and was super excited to get on with this chapter in my life, everything was wonderful and dandy till I got back from my honeymoon. I went back to my crazy work schedule, as I do a lot for work, my husband and I had recently purchased a house and I was back to living with my parents, well we both were. All this wasn’t the problem; it was not till I moved into my own home where I started to lose focus and balance, my root chakra was walking on glass. This all happened because I was raised to be and I am so close with my family so when it came to being on my own I didn’t know how. 

I can stay here forever and explain how I cried and suffered about being away from my family but I am sure you all get the idea. My root chakra for the first time ever, or so I feel was the first time ever had no balance and for the first time I felt I wasn’t that strong women I usually am. This is an example of something that in reality isn’t such a big deal that can really throw off your balance. It’s very important to keep the chakra balanced, you always want to stay grounded.
